Dear Friends, There is something immensely pleasing about the sight of vineyard rows ascending a hillside. This visual appeal reflects several key elements of WillaKenzie Estate's viticulture. For example, the north-south orientation of the rows maximizes exposure to sunlight for optimum ripening. In some areas we till the cover crop in alternate alleys, as shown in the above photo, and in other areas we mow the existing cover crop. The former lessens competition for nutrients and water, while the latter enhances it and both practices have the same goal - to balance vine vigor and improve grape quality
We appreciated seeing many of you here at the winery during the recent Pre-Memorial and Memorial Day Weekend events when several wines were available at preferred pricing. Thank you for coming. We want to make some of these offers available to Cellar Club Members who were unable to visit.
