THE WINES OF WILLAKENZIE ESTATE
We are proud to share some of the reviews we've received for our wines.
2006 Pinot Blanc
Matt Kramer - The Oregonian - Sept. 16, 2007
You want to try WillaKenzie Estate's extraordinary 2006 pinot blanc. One sip will change your mind forever about the worth of Oregon-grown pinot blanc. This is a wonderful dry white wine that's about as good a pinot blanc as any grown in America - and better than many produced in France, or Italy for that matter.
2006 Pinot Gris
WINE & SPIRITS - Dec. 2007
93 POINTS
WillaKenzie makes just one pinot gris from 18 acres of estate-grown vines in Yamhill. It seduces in its pure scents of lees, cut wheat and rich pear fruit, maintaining a balance from start to finish between crisp fruit flavors and exuberant amplitude. All of that generous fruit is cradled by an acidity that's as fine as spun silk. Serve with something subtle, like boudin blanc and roasted potatoes, and let the wine sing.
Ray Isle - FOOD & WINE - Dec 2007
BEST WINES OF 2007 - BEST OREGON PINOT GRIS
Oregon has achieved fame for its Pinot Gris - no surprise, given wines like this, which is full of succulent peach and pear fl avors and a light smokiness. WillaKenzie farms more than 100 acres of vines located on a former cattle ranch near Yamhill, Oregon.
