Gamay Noir & Pinot Meunier

Pinot Noir is not the only grape prized in Burgundy, nor is it the only grape to thrive in the northern Willamette Valley’s cool climate.  At WillaKenzie, we’ve dedicated a small portion of our estate vineyards to explore some of the less well-known but delightfully drinkable members of the Pinot wine family.

Our Gamay Noir and Pinot Meunier are red wines that tend to be approachable earlier in life than Pinot Noir, and it is our hope that they regularly grace your table, as each is remarkably food friendly,  pairing with a wide range of dishes from grilled salmon to pasta with red sauce to a Thanksgiving turkey.  From time to time, we also make a red wine blend of equal amounts of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Gamay Noir, which we call Plaisir à Trois.  All three WillaKenzie Estate wines are bottled with screwcap closures.
