Notes of blueberry, lavender, herbal tea and subtle hint of forest floor. Rich and juicy, with great presence of flavor. Refined, ever-so-slightly dusty tannins support a lengthy finish as the wine ends with a slight note of chocolate flavor.

In the Vineyard

Terres Basses in French means ‘low lands’ and that is precisely where it is located on our Estate. Due to its low elevation and unique terroir, Terres Basses encourages early ripening and produces small berries with thick skins. Unlike the rest of our Estate, the grapevines in Terres Basses perch in clay soil called Hazelair, which result in a wine that is very dark, rich, and powerful.

Winemaker Hand

Grapes were harvested and sorted by hand on September 24th, 2018. The grapes were fermented on their skins for approximately three weeks with daily punch downs before being transferred to French oak barrels
