Dense and powerful with ample, ripe tannins and longevity

At The Table

Pair this wine with rack of lamb or beef tenderloin.

A traditional Pinot Noir/Burgundy glass with a round bowl, will convey this varietal’s profound aromatics and structural characteristics.

Serving and Cellar

Serve at cellar temperature (55- 60 ̊F). Terres Basses Pinot Noir will benefit initially from a decant. Cellar from five to fifteen years for maximum enjoyment.

In the Vineyard

Meaning “low lands,” this block is the lowest on the estate at 320 to 390 feet. It has a higher clay content than the rest of the estate and the unique soil composition of this parcel is a key contributor to the wine's specificity. This also tends to be the first block to mature each fall.

Winemaker Hand

Hand-picked and hand-sorted. Aged 15 months in French oak barrels, 50% new. 25 days of skin contact.
