This deep, intensely aromatic Pinot hails from the steepest slope of our Estate. The palate offers power, structure, flavor intensity and tremendous length.

Descriptors
Fruit

Fresh black plum

Spice, Vegetable, Mineral

Anise, baking spice and a hint of gaminess

Texture/Structure

A palate that offers power, structure, flavor intensity and tremendous length

At The Table

This muscular, brooding Pinot Noir calls for roast or grilled rack of lamb (or a similarly gamey meat). When it comes to vegetarian fare, think risotto with wild mushrooms or black truffles.

Glassware

A traditional Pinot Noir/Burgundy glass with a round bowl will convey this varietal’s profound aromatics and structural characteristics.

Serving and Cellar

Serve at cellar temperature (55- 60 ̊F). Triple Black Slopes will benefit initially from a decant. Cellar from five to fifteen years for maximum enjoyment.

In the Vineyard

Triple Black Slopes is the steepest vineyard on our estate, and the most challenging to farm with some sections exhibiting a 45-degree slope. This south-facing vineyard is comprised of four distinct blocks, separated from one another by canyons filled with blackberries and quail.

Winemaker Hand

Hand-picked and sorted; Grapes spent approximately 3 weeks on skins prior to pressing. Aged 19 months in 50% new French oak barrels
